Applications

It is mainly applicable to controlling, monitoring, interlocking circuits and protection circuits, etc., playing the role of transmitting and controlling signals. On special occasions, fire-retardant, low-halogen, and fire-resistant control cables can be used.

 

Remark:
The control cables are all 750V and below, and the conductor sectional area is large. The signal line is 250v primarily, and the conductor sectional is small, which is used to transmit signals or weak current for measurement.

Operating requirements:

1. Control and signal cables are used to control the measurement system and should be tested before use to make it operate safely

and reliably.

2. Generally, it is mainly used for fixed laying. However, the joint between the cable core and the electrical appliances,
instruments and equipment are susceptible to bending, so the core is required to withstand bending many times without breakage.

3. Operating voltage: Control cable and signal cable generally are divided into power control and signal control. In use, the
operating voltage is below 380V, lower for the signal cable. Considering the insulation level, both of them can be used in common.

4. The operating current of the signal cable is generally below 4A. When the control cable is used as the control main equipment,
the current is too high. Therefore, the sectional area should be selected according to the voltage drop and mechanical performance of the line.

5. It is not allowed to use a cable for both power control and signal transmission.
